TEG re-structures in preparation for massive growth

30th January 2007

TEG Environmental plc, the green technology company, which converts organic wastes into natural organic fertiliser, has changed its company structure in preparation for strong growth during 2007 and beyond.

The company has been renamed TEG Group plc and has created two subsidiary operating companies, TEG Environmental Limited and the Natural Organic Fertiliser Company (NOFCO) Limited.

TEG Group has a board of five comprising Chairman Nigel Moore, Non-executive Director Doug Benjafield, Chief Executive Mick Fishwick, Finance Director & Company Secretary Tanja Willis and Research & Development Director Alan Heyworth.  This parent company will be responsible for the strategic direction of the company, managing shareholder expectations, fund raising and monitoring the two operating companies.

TEG Environmental will be the main operating company, responsible for the design and installation of specialised plant and equipment for the composting of organic wastes for sale to third party customers and for in-house projects.  Its unique Silo Cage system is a commercial scale continuous-flow thermophilic composting plant that converts organic wastes into a high quality, natural end product.  The Board of this company comprises Chairman & Chief Executive Mick Fishwick, Finance Director & Company Secretary Tanja Willis, Research & Development Director Alan Heyworth, Operations Director Fergus Healey, Technical & Engineering Director Fiona Maudsley-Drain and Commercial Director Jayne Pierre.

NOFCO has been created primarily to market all end products from the composting plants to agricultural, horticultural and domestic markets.  The company has three Board members, Chairman & Chief Executive Mick Fishwick, Finance Director & Company Secretary Tanja Willis and Executive Director Mike Orr.

Mick Fishwick explained the reasons behind the changes: "The need to take environmental responsibility for waste generation is a major issue and composting is increasingly being recognised as a viable and cost effective method of recycling organic wastes as well as replenishing nutrients to the land.  With full ABP (Animal By-Product) approval, TEG systems are leading the way in composting technology and are providing safe and responsible outlets for a wide range of waste producers, including food and beverage companies, animal processors, local authorities, waste management operations, agricultural companies and water authorities.

"In the last 12 months TEG has seen tremendous growth with several major projects about to come to fruition.  We are in the last stages of commissioning new developments for clients in Norfolk and Swansea and our own facility in Todmorden is currently ten weeks ahead of schedule.  With further major development planned during 2007 we felt the time was right to change our structure to prepare us for the continued growth of the business."

TEG already operates two commercial scale composting plants in the UK, one in Preston and a second in Perthshire, Scotland. In addition to the three sites in Norfolk, Swansea and Todmorden, other sites in Kildare and Somerset are also under construction with further projects at an advanced state of discussion.
