Company Background
TEG was created in 1995 and its unique in-vessel composting system is now widely regarded as the leading technology for dealing with green and organic waste matter.
The company was first listed on AIM (Alternative Investment Market) in July 2004 and has since enjoyed considerable growth.
The parent company is The TEG Group Plc, which is responsible for the strategic direction of the company, managing shareholder expectations, fund raising and monitoring the two operating companies.
TEG Environmental Ltd is the main operating company, responsible for the design and installation of specialised plant and equipment for the composting and/or anaerobic digestion of organic wastes for sale to third party customers and for in-house projects.
The Natural Organic Fertiliser Company Ltd, NOFCO develops markets for all end products from the composting and AD plants in the agricultural, horticultural and domestic sectors.
TEG Silo Cage In-Vessel composting systems are one of the few approved technologies capable of treating animal by-product (ABP) waste. The TEG process offers an economic alternative to landfill and captures a unique source of soil enhancers, particularly for agricultural purposes.
TEG offers a wide range of services and has the capability to deliver any aspect of a customer's requirement. Customers include local authorities, waste management companies, food and beverage companies, animal processors, farmers, landowners and agricultural companies, water authorities and the oil industry.
In March 2009 TEG formed a partnership with leading German anaerobic digestion (AD) technology company UTS Biogas to deliver composting and anaerobic digestion solutions. The companies work together in the local authority and waste management sectors with TEG leading bids and tenders and providing engineering, project and operational expertise.

The Company's expanding market is driven by increasingly stringent EU and UK legislation regulating the treatment and disposal of organic waste which is enforcing a diminishing tonnage allocation of biodegradable waste to be sent to landfill year on year.
